Strategic Plan for the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library
In a group with five other students, I surveyed the needs and goals of the Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library and developed a potential pathway for the institution's future success. Through meetings with the museum staff, group meetings, and direction from our professor, we were able to understand what we could provide the museum and we were also able to experience the process of strategic planning.

We conducted an environmental scan of the museum and its location, an opportunity assessment, and a threat assessment. We benchmarked other, similar institutions, and we decided upon four critical issues the museum was facing. All the research and information helped us create a plan that had four main priorities for the museum to work towards moving forward: operational finances, programming, security & emergency preparedness, and collections care.
